Nature reserve in the Amazon taking care of people and nature

Since 2014, the Hábitat Sur Foundation has created and managed cultural and creative spaces in the Amazon, including the Hábitat Sur Natural Reserve, the NgüeChica Cultural Center in Puerto Nariño, the El Rastrojo Cultural and Environmental Center and 10 small public libraries in Leticia and Puerto Nariño. Likewise, we work to improve priority community infrastructures such as traditional malocas and 6 Intercultural Community Health Centers in order to address the emergency generated by COVID19 by combining the knowledge of traditional and Western medicine. With this project, we will implement specific activities aimed at consolidating the offer of services and resources that we offer to the community and local and foreign visitors in the Habitat Sur Natural Reserve, strengthening human talent, physical resources, frequency and quality of our offer. complying with all the biosafety measures required by the current reality.
